Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Conesville, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The proposed project is located in the Town of Durham, Greene County. The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following: Rehabilitation of the CR22 (Oak Hill Durham Rd.) Bridge over Catskill Creek - BIN 3303120 Base Bid - The work includes the rehabilitation of the CR22 (Oak Hill Durham Rd.) Bridge over Catskill Creek - BIN 3303120 and the associated approach roadway work. The work includes but not limited to complete deck removal and replacement, substructure reconstruction and repairs, restoring the paint system to new condition, miscellaneous steel repairs, replacement of the bearings, reconstruction of the roadway approaches and installation of bridge and guide railing. Bid Alternate No. 1 - The work includes installation of preventative scour protection at the piers including but not limited to excavation, stone filling, cofferdams and the associated work necessary to gain access to the piers. Base Bid - The work includes the rehabilitation of the CR22 (Oak Hill Durham Rd.) Bridge over Catskill Creek - BIN 3303120 and the associated approach roadway work. The work includes but not limited to complete deck removal and replacement, substructure reconstruction and repairs, restoring the paint system to new condition, miscellaneous steel repairs, replacement of the bearings, reconstruction of the roadway approaches and installation of bridge and guide railing. Bid Alternate No. 1 - The work includes installation of preventative scour protection at the piers including but not limited to excavation, stone filling, cofferdams and the associated work necessary to gain access to the piers. This is a Unit Price bid. No bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the base bid in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders. Bidders are required to acknowledge and submit Disclosure of Lobbying Activities and Non-Collusive Bidding Certification Forms. It is the responsibility of each Bidder before submitting a bid to promptly notify the Engineer of any errors, omissions, conflicts, ambiguities or discrepancies discovered in or between the Contract Documents and such other related documents. The successful bidder will be required to furnish construction performance and payment bonds, insurance, and execute the Contract in the full amount of the contract price. All primes and subcontractors will be required to complete Form CCA-2 online before any work is started. Except as modified in the Contract Documents, the latest edition of the Standard Specifications, Construction and Materials (Section 100 and Section 200-700) issued by the New York State Department of Transportation, Office of Engineering including all revisions and addenda issued by NYSDOT at the time of letting, hereinafter referred to as the NYSDOT Standard Specifications, shall govern the work to be done where referred to on the plans and in the specifications. The work shall be substantially complete within 180 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run and completed and ready for final payment within 210 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. There are no residence or geographical restrictions in this contract. The Contractor, Subcontractors and DBE suppliers will be required to utilize New York State Department of Transportation Equal Opportunity reporting software, which currently is "Equitable Business Opportunities" (EBO). The project EEO goals are: Women: 6.9% and Minority: 2.6 %. The project Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Utilization Goal is 10 %. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any and all informalities and the right to disregard all nonconforming, non-responsive or Conditional Bids. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 2.6% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 6.9% The period for questions pertaining to the bid documents will close at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, January 10, 2022 Contract term: 180 calendar days after the date when Contract Times commence to run CR Number: 2081720
