The project includes civil, mechanical, structural, electrical and controls improvements including existing panel modification, new variable frequency drives, service conduits, conductors, and Supervisory Control Data Acquisition (SCADA) feedback signal for a new suction pressure transducer for water surface elevation level control at the City of Oceanside's Pilgrim Creek Sewer Lift Station. Pilgrim Creek Lift Station was originally constructed in 1976 and is located at 855 Douglas Drive. The existing lift station is comprised of a concrete wet well, (modified) dry well, two submersible pumps, valves, piping, flow meter, motors, electrical and controls. The pump station has become an operational risk for Collections and reached the end of its useful life. The project consists of the complete rehabilitation of the Pilgrim Creek Lift Station. The two existing submersible pumps will be removed and replaced with three submersible chopper pumps on slide rail systems that will be installed inside the existing rehabilitated concrete wet well. The wet well and dry well will be retrofitted into one large wet well.
