Question Submission Close Date 12/22/2021 2:00 PM MST Division of Wildlife Resouces. Approximated 2,625 acres for lop and scatter located approximately eight (8) miles Northwest of Cedar City, UT. Restricted to Utah Rangeland Pre-Qual List only. The purpose of this IFB is to enter into a contract with the lowest responsive and responsible bidder to provide: services in this contract to provide for wildfire hazard reduction and improved wildlife habitat by hand cutting (Lop and Scatter) standing live or dead Pinyon pine and Juniper trees and saplings. The work includes treating project areas totaling approximately 463 acres (see map package). Location and Description: Work under this contract is in the Northwest of Cedar City, adjacent to the Iron County shooting range. Elevations range from 5,600 to 5,900 feet within the project site. Slopes range from flat to 35% with most of the project being less than 10%. The makeup of the project is all previously untreated acres. The treatment boundaries are flagged and can additionally be located by GPS or by using the PDF maps attached and the Avenza app. The work location is shown on the general location and site maps. Acreage: +/- 463 acres dependent upon bids and budget constraints. Access to the site: Access onto the project site is provided by a combination of paved highways, county dirt surface roads and jeep trails. Four (4) wheel drive vehicles are recommended in and around the project area. It will be the contractors responsibility to get the equipment to the work site. SPECIFIC TASKS:Work Limits: Only areas shown on the Project Map will be treated. The project areas will be flagged but contractor will need to utilize either GPS units or smartphone applications capable of utilizing pdfs to identify the work areas. A GIS/GPS shapefile will be provided prior to work beginning. Government staff will identify unit boundaries for the work executed under the contract. The Contractor shall immediately upon entering the project area, begin work, locate control points, section corners, and take such action to prevent their destruction. There will be no site visit for this contract. Project Performance Time: Project must be completed by May 20, 2022
