**As of February 14, 2022, Bid is rejected due to overbudget. The work consists principally of providing bonds, labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary for the dredging of the Pinto Terminal and the McDuffie Terminal in the Alabama State Port Authority's Lower Harbor. The work is expected to commence in February 2022. Questions pertaining to the bid must be submitted no later than 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 27th. A Guarantee will be required with each bid as follows: At least five (5%) percent of the amount bid, but in no event more than Ten Thousand ($10,000) Dollars, shall be furnished in the form of a certified check or bid bond payable to the Alabama State Port Authority. A Performance Bond in an amount not less than the sum bid will be required at the signing of the contract and, in addition, a bond in an amount not less than One Hundred (100%) percent of the contract price, insuring payment of all labor and material. No bid will be considered unless the bidder, whether resident or non-resident of Alabama, is properly qualified to submit a proposal for this work in accordance with all applicable laws of the State of Alabama. This shall include evidence of holding a current license from the State Licensing Board for General Contractors, Montgomery, Alabama with the classification being H/RR: Heavy and Railroad or H/RR-S: Heavy and Railroad - Dredging. Also, non-residents of the State must show evidence of having qualified with the Secretary of State to do business in AL. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
