Gilbane Building Company, Construction Manager, for and acting on behalf of Board of Education of Joliet Township High School District 204, is receiving lump sum proposal forms from interested contractors for the Indoor Air Quality Projects. Bid release 1 is for Pre-Purchase of Mechanical Equipment for Joliet West High School, & Structural Steel Work for Joliet Central High School. BID RELEASE 1 - BID PACKAGE Bid Package #05A - Structural Steel Joliet Central HS Bid Package #23A - Pre-Purchase Mechanical Equipment Joliet West HS The bid documents will be distributed to pre-qualified bidders on or about Thursday, December 16, 2021. An individual site visit may be scheduled separately date and time to be issued via supplement. NOTE: Face covering, and proper PPE is required to visit the site. No-one will be allowed onsite without a face covering or PPE. The last day for bidders' questions will be Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. To bid this project, bidders must be qualified by Gilbane Building Company. The prequalification application is to be completed online at website. Guarantee Bonds in the form of a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the bid will be required from the awarded Bidder. The work will be done in accordance with the Contract Documents. "FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS INVITATION TO BID WILL RESULT IN THE DISQUALIFICATION OF THE BIDDER". This contract calls for the construction of a "public work," within the meaning of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/.01 et seq. ("the Act"). The Act requires contractors and subcontractors to pay laborers, workers and mechanics performing services on public works projects no less than the "prevailing rate of wages" (hourly cash wages plus fringe benefits) in the county where the work is performed. For information regarding current prevailing wage rates, please refer to the Illinois Department of Labor's website. All contractors and subcontractors rendering services under this contract must comply with all requirements of the Act, including but not limited to, all wage, notice and record keeping duties. Joliet Township High School District 204 and Gilbane Building Company reserve the right to reject any or all bids. All information submitted as part of this process shall be considered public information under the State Freedom of Information Act unless specifically disclosed on the applicable information by the Bidder. Challenges to such exemptions shall be defended solely by the Bidder. Bidders who are not pre-qualified in accordance with this Advertisement will have their bids returned unopened.
