REQUIRED: Bid Bond (5%), Performance Bond, and Payment Bond (100%) WRITTEN QUESTIONS AND INQUIRIES ARE DUE ON OR BEFORE: MONDAY, October 16, 2024 by 5:00 PM DIRECT ALL INQUIRIES TO: Email: Procurement@nlauderdale.org DESCRIPTION OF WORK The City of North Lauderdale department of public works is seeking proposals for the rehabilitation of canal banks by installing flexible erosion barrier tubing at various locations throughout the city. The flexible erosion barrier tubing shall be installed to effectively prevent erosion of canal banks, improves the aesthetics and grade of the canal banks, and improve the quality of stormwater management and operations. All tubing shall be filled with sediment, biomass, and sand obtained from the canal floor by vendor's dredging. The contractor may import suitable material from other locations if there is not sufficient material on the job site. The contractor shall also remove excess material from the job site and dispose of material at an environmentally approve site. The last tube shall be cut and raked out down to the water's edge. The raked-out area shall then have sod installed and supplied by the contractor. All tubing shall be installed and secured to the canal bank by the use of stakes. Tubing shall not be secured to any other object on the canal bank or any object on a homeowner's property. All stakes used during tubing installation shall be removed or driven below grade once the tubing has been filled. The slope of the bank will vary depending on the existing conditions. Before starting any work, the contractor should get familiar with site conditions and visit the area(s). See Exhibit A-- CANAL RESIDENTIAL MAP for preliminary locations of canal banks to be included. The selected vendor may be allowed to store equipment and materials on City property for the duration of any given phase of work. However, all storage must be done in an area and manner approved by the Public Works Utilities Director. The City will not be responsible for theft or damage of materials stored on City property or within the City of North Lauderdale. The City reserves the right to expand the project locations of this contract and add additional areas as needed
