Site work for a water / sewer project in North Lauderdale, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.

The City of North Lauderdale is seeking to procure the services of a qualified Contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to install two backflow control valves to prevent stormwater backflow into the City's drainage system during periods of high-water flow from the adjacent C-14 canal. Contractor must comply with all state and local construction requirements and standards. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, vehicles, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to complete this project, as indicated in the Special Conditions, Special Provisions, Scope of Work, Drawings, and Specifications within the solicitation. Bids must be submitted through DemandStar's E-Bidding portal. Registration and/or account creation is required. Only bid packages submitted via this portal will be accepted. Mailed, emailed, or faxed bids will not be accepted. Late bids, including those submitted after the deadline on DemandStar, will not be considered. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informalities or irregularities, and re-advertise for bids if deemed in the City's best interest. All work must comply with applicable grant and regulatory requirements at the federal, state, and local level. The active participation of minority businesses, women's business enterprises, and labor surplus area firms is encouraged. If subcontracts are to be let, certain affirmative steps must be taken to include such businesses. These gates will serve to improve the flood protection and system performance during storm events. In addition, the project involves dredging of accumulated sediment to restore channel capacity, stabilization of embankments to prevent erosion and maintain structural integrity, and the rehabilitation of existing culverts through the installation of High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) liners. All work shall be performed in accordance with the Contract Documents, applicable regulatory requirements, and best construction practices.
