BUDGET AND FUNDING FOR PROJECT FEDERAL GRANT - CDBG-MIT - $6,536,080. OTHER FUNDING - $1,596.738 TOTAL = $8,132,818 The work consists of the construction of a new stormwater pump station (C-14 Stormwater Pump Station) to be located north of Southgate Boulevard and west of SW 83rd Avenue, adjacent to the existing Florida Power and Light substation. The new pump station will discharge to the South Florida Water Management District C-14 canal and will be located on the Stranahan River. The station is to be a single-story building that includes an outdoor generator room with a diesel generator, three axial flow pumps, outfall pipes, and associated site improvements. The contractor is required to comply with all state and local water quality and electrical standards and must furnish all labor, vehicles, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to complete the project in accordance with all exhibits, special conditions, special provisions, scope of work, drawings, and specifications. Only bids submitted on DemandStar will be accepted. Bid, performance, and payment bonds are required. Participation of minority, women's, and labor surplus area firms is encouraged, and affirmative steps must be taken if subcontracts are let. Bids transmitted by email, fax, or mail will not be accepted. Late bids will not be considered. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or take actions deemed in its best interest.
