Thompson Creek 14 Inch Sewer Trunk Line Services Work required under this Contract includes furnishing materials, labor, equipment, etc. for the construction of increased size of sanitary sewer from 8" to 14" gravity sanitary sewer main, reconnection of any sanitary laterals, rehabilitation of all sanitary sewer manholes, with initial efforts including clean and TV existing sanitary sewer lines. Work operations will be limited to the 20' sanitary easement and public right of way areas. Bids shall be entered on a UNIT PRICE BID basis and as described in the project manual. Bids in the case of Corporations not chartered in Georgia, must be accompanied by proper certification stating that said Corporation is authorized to do business in the State of Georgia. All Bidders are required to submit a Bid Bond, or a certified check made payable to the City of Hampton in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a contract performance bond and payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount bid and provide insurance coverage as required by the contract documents. The Bid Bond or certified check must be enclosed in the envelope with the sealed bid. The deadline to submit questions for this RFP is Thursday, January 20, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. Questions will be answered in the form of an addendum by Monday, January 17, 2022. Bonding Company must be licensed to do business in Georgia, licensed to do business by the Georgia Secretary of State, authorized to do business in Georgia by the Georgia Insurance Department, listed in the Department of the Treasury's Publication of Companies Holding Certificates of Authority as Acceptable Surety on Federal Bonds and as Acceptable Reinsuring Companies and have an A.M. Best rating of A-, Class V or higher. The City of Hampton reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive technicalities or informalities.
