As of November 8, 2022, a civil engineer has been selected for the project. A firm timeline for construction has not been disclosed. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The DPMC is seeking to engage the services of a sanitary engineering firm and consulting team with the objective to construct a new pumping station for the Woodbine Developmental Center and approximately 1,600 linear feet of sanitary piping to tie into a collection system to be built by the borough of Woodbine. An additional objective, under a separate bid package (M1545-01), is to decommission the existing wastewater plant in accordance with DEP standards. Woodbine Developmental Center (WDC) was founded in 1921 and is located on 250 acres of land in Cape May County. The WDC provides residential treatment and rehabilitation services to developmentally disabled men who reside in 18 residential buildings. In addition to the residential cottages and the food services buildings, the Center contains forty additional buildings that include a medical building, administrative offices, school, recreational facilities, a powerhouse, maintenance facilities and various support facilities. The facility was constructed in 1930 and continues to utilize some of the original buildings. Additional buildings have been constructed and numerous renovations have occurred over the years to maintain compliance with codes and licensing requirements. The firm shall also have in-house capabilities or identify sub-consultants prequalified in Electrical Engineering (Discipline Code P002) Civil Engineering (Discipline Code P005) Environmental Engineering (Discipline Code P011) Estimating/Cost Analysis (Discipline Code P025) The firm should also identify all other architectural, engineering and specialty disciplines necessary to complete the project as described in the scope of work.
