Renovation of a mixed-use development in Grayson, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
**As of February 10, 2022, this project has been awarded to Mueller Electric and the awarded amount is $87,221.68.** The City of Grayson is accepting bids for One (1) Emergency Operations Generator and its installation to supply automatic, simultaneous electricity to both facilities of the Grayson Police Department and Grayson Fire Department upon loss of power. It is the responsibility of the bidder to ensure the bid package is delivered by the stated deadline. The general scope of work for this project is available by contacting City Clerk Duane Suttles at the Municipal Building during normal city business hours, by calling 606-474-6651 or by email at dsuttles@graysonky.net The City of Grayson is an equal opportunity entity. The city reserves the right to reject any or all bids while considering available project funding and evaluating bids to be in the best interest of the city. This document outlines the minimum scope of an emergency generator bid for the City of Grayson to provide for emergency power to the city's Police and Fire departments in the event of power loss to those facilities from their primary power supplier, Kentucky Power. The project shall be turn key in nature, i.e. the bid shall include all materials, labor, installation disclosure of any warranties included (both by the equipment manufacturers and the bidder), start up and training of personnel on the operation of the system. The unit shall serve both facilities in whole and simultaneously, and shall engage and operate automatically in the event of municipal power loss to the facilities. Unit shall be fueled by natural gas supplied by connection to the municipal gas system. This project shall not require the use of local labor, but such will receive a favorable consideration. Bidder shall provide proof of compliance with all federal, state and local licensing as well providing a written disclosure to comply with all federal, state and local permitting, inspections, labor practices, workers compensation and tax withholdings of employees and disclosure of subcontracted labor. The city strongly recommends visiting the site prior to submitting a bid Minimum general materials and installation specifications for the project: Minimum 150KW NG 120/208 3 Phase w/ aluminum cabinet enclosure. Bid to include cost ofrentals (crane, lift or other). Install single concrete pad and anchor of unit, ratedfor generator and components. Starter battery with maintenance charger. Generator engine block heater. Separate dedicated minimum 400 amp breakers for each facility. All necessary accessories, trenching, conduit, fuel lines and connections, groundings, neutrals, disconnects, wiring and transfer switches of sufficient ratings. Cut and repair any pavement, concrete, drains necessary for installation
