The project involves the construction of a timber lagging steel soldier pile retaining wall with tieback anchoring, fabricated steel walers, grading, wall underdrain system, gabion mattress energy dissipater, metal beam guard railing with terminal end systems, asphalt concrete dike, asphalt pavement repair and erosion control & revegetation. The successful bidder shall furnish a payment bond and a performance bond. The Contractor shall possess a Class A license at the time that this contract is awarded. The Department of Public Works hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disavantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award. Pursuant to Section 1773 of the California Labor Code, the general prevailing rate of wages in the District has been determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations, and such prevailing rate of wages is listed in the State of California, Business and Transportation Agency, Department of Transportation publication entitled General Prevailing Wage Rates, current edition, and may be accessed. The estimated cost of the project is $317,625 Complete the work within the number of working days bid.
Do not bid more than 60 working days. Contractor will furnish labor, equipment, tools and materials necessary for site work and construction of a timber lagging soldier pile retaining wall with tiebacks, mid west guardrail system, reconstructed roadway, erosion control and revegetation. The Contractor shall include in its bid and provide labor, tools, equipment, and materials for a complete and working project in conformance with the intent shown on the drawings and specified herein and as provided for and set forth in said plans, special provisions, and any addendum that may be issued prior to the date of bid, or in either of them, which said plans and special provisions are hereby referred to by such reference, incorporated herein, and made a part of this Contract.
