Renovation of a mixed-use development in Stony Brook, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The Chemistry Building, aka Grad Chem, was constructed in 1973 and comprises 307,904 gsf. The infrastructure systems and lab spaces have outlived their useful lives and no longer function safely. An interior renovation is required to bring these spaces and systems up to code and preserve the facility for future use. Scope to include, but not limited to, the replacement of the majority of original MEP systems, hazardous materials abatement, upgrades for life safety, construction of two penthouse extensions to accommodate new MEP equipment, installation of (2) diesel fired emergency generators along with limited interior renovations to labs, offices, corridors, and MEP spaces. The building will remain occupied during construction.
