The Joliet Regional Port District is accepting sealed bids for the 2022 Communications/ Weather/ Runway Lighting Control Equipment for the Air Traffic Control Tower Project at Chicago-Romeoville Airport, Romeoville, Illinois. The Joliet Regional Port District has issued separate Bid Packages for the three following projects: 1. Outfit new airport control tower communications equipment. 2. Install new airport owned AWOS secondary weather and ATIS. 3. Install new airport owned airfield lighting control panel equipment. Bidders may bid on one, two or all three of the Bid Packages. Separate bids must be prepared for each project. A formal bid opening will be held at 12:00 p.m. CST on January 12, 2022 in the Airport Conference Room, #113. At that time, all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bidders will not be allowed to attend in person, but will be given a link to observe the opening online. Pre-qualification by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) is not a requirement for bid and award of either of these projects. At the time of award of each contract, the selected bidder shall be authorized to perform work in the State of Illinois, and shall furnish a current Certificate of Good Standing issued by the Illinois Secretary of State. This work has been determined to consist of 100% Specialty Items. In accordance with the Contract documents, the Joliet Regional Port District reserves the right to determine the qualifications of all contractors and subcontractors to perform the work required under these contracts. Award will be given based on the lowest total bid price for each package submitted by the most responsible bidder, in accordance with the current established policy of the Joliet Regional Port District. The Joliet Regional Port District retains the right to waive any irregularities and reject any or all bids in accordance with the District's policy. Bidders may bid on one, two, or three bid packages, but must prepare separate bids for each. Each bid package will be awarded to the lowest bidder.
