St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 1 will be accepting sealed bids for the a New Gas Generator at the future Central Fire Station located at 322 Bouscaren Street, Slidell, LA 70458. In the case of an electronic bid proposal, a contractor may submit an authentic digital signature on the electronic bid proposal accompanied by the contractors license number in order to meet the requirements of LA R.S. 37:2163. Except as otherwise provided in R.S. 37:2163, if the bid does not contain the contractors certification and show the contractors license number on the bid envelope, the bid shall be automatically rejected and shall be returned to the bidder marked Rejected and shall not be read aloud. The signature on the bid must be that of an authorized representative of the corporation, partnership or other legal entity, as defined by Louisiana Public Bid Law Revised Statute 38:2212.A(1)(c) which dictates parties authorized to submit bids for public contracts. All entities submitting a bid must have at least 5 years previous experience in the State of Louisiana suppling and installing similar type generators. This requirement is applicable to all persons holding an ownership interest of five (5%) percent or greater in any partnership or joint venture submitting a bid. All applicable Federal, State, Local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over construction of the project shall apply to the contract throughout. No bidder may withdraw his/her Bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof. All bids are welcomed. The lowest responsible and responsive bidder will be selected. The Fire District encourages participation by Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise firms.
