The intent and meaning of the Contract Documents require that you, the CONTRACTOR, under the terms of the Contract, take such action as necessary or required to provide labor, plant, materials, equipment, transportation, facilities and appurtenances thereto, which are indicated, or reasonably implied by each Section of the Specifications, all of which are collectively necessary and required for the execution of the Work. BROOKSIDE AVENUE STORM SEWER REPLACEMENT including the construction of approximately 156 linear-feet of 45- x 29-inch elliptical reinforced concrete storm pipe from Brookside Drive to the outfall at Ithan Creek, construction of approximately 21 linear-feet of 38- x 24-inch elliptical reinforced concrete storm pipe across Brookside Drive, construction of approximately 257 linear-feet of storm pipe ranging in diameters of 15- to 24-inches in Brookside Drive, construction of six (6) new storm inlets, two (2) new storm manholes, and one (1) doghouse storm manhole of various types and sizes along the proposed storm sewer, the existing storm connection adjacent to Ithan Creek shall be field verified prior to construction, construction of approximately 68 linear feet of granite curb, installation of approximately 488 square-yards of asphalt pavement replacement, coordination with Aqua for the construction of the new water main where shown on the plans which shall be completed by Aqua concurrently with the storm sewer installation, completion of all required pavement, vegetative removals/restoration, and incidentals. Radnor Township reserves the right to add or delete portions of work based on budgetary constraints. The award date for this project is tentatively scheduled for February 2022. The project must be completed no later than 90 days after notice to proceed. The Township will not accept bids from any firm/corporation that are currently in litigation with the Township. This is a prevailing wage project. In the event of a delay to the project completion terms as per the Schedule for which Contractor is solely responsible, Contractor shall pay Liquidated Damages to Radnor Township at a rate of $880 per day of delay for every day beyond the 90 days for allowed for project completion. A bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid is required. Bid security shall be in the form of either a Bond issued by a corporate surety approved by the Secretary of Insurance to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, or a certified check or an Irrevocable Letter of Credit issued by a bank licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The Township Board of Commissioners reserves the right to waive any informalities and reject any or all proposals, or parts thereof, for any cause permitted by law, as it deems in the best interest of the Township.
