Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Yucca Valley, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
The projects consist of the demolition of finishes and old topping slabs; removal of the existing combo walk-in freezer/refrigerator and installation of new walk-in freezer; installation of a new walk-in refrigerator; trenching slab and re-route waste line to floor with the installation of new floor sinks in the kitchen area; installation of new epoxy flooring and cove base, paint application to wall/ceiling finishes and installation of FRP as wall finish in designated areas of the kitchen and storage rooms, adjust and replace stainless steel counter to meet ADA accessibility requirements, removal and replacement of overhead counter coiling door, installation of HVAC exhaust at storage room, plumbing, electrical, and temporary removing and re-installing kitchen equipment and other incidental work. The Town is soliciting bid proposals for the Senior Center Kitchen Upgrades, to replace and upgrade essential kitchen equipment to continue providing food services and programs for senior citizens of the Town of Yucca Valley and surrounding unincorporated areas. The Contractors shall possess the following California Contractor's licenses, or such other licenses as may be allowed by law, at the time of award of the prime contract in order to perform the work: Class B (General Building Contractor). Subcontractors must possess the appropriate licenses for each specialty subcontracted. Each bidder shall submit a copy of its active contractor's licenses with the bid documents The awarded Contractor and subcontractors will also be required to obtain a Town Business Registration. The Town will receive questions concerning the project until, DECEMBER 20, 2021 at 5:00 PM. No proposal will be considered unless it is accompanied by a proposal security in the form of cash, a certified check or a cashier's check, equivalent to ten percent (10%) of the total bid as set forth in the bidder's proposal, payable to the order of the Town of Yucca Valley, to guarantee that if a proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered into and its performance secured. A Bidder's Bond to like effect and amount with a corporate surety will be acceptable for this project. Bids must be in writing and signed by or on behalf of the bidder. he work includes but is not limited to providing all required equipment and improvements for the Yucca Valley Senior Center, TOWN-19-CV-1-05W/0212, Senior Center Kitchen Upgrades Project. All work shall be completed within forty-five (45) calendar days following receipt of a written Notice to Proceed from the Town. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond for 100% of the contract price to secure fulfillment of all the bidder's obligations under such contract. The successful bidder will further be required to furnish a Labor and Material Bond for 100 % of the contract price to assure payment as required by law of all persons supplying labor and material in the execution of the work provided for in the contract. Contractor's General Public Liability and Property Damage Insurance, Workers Compensation Insurance, and "All Risk" Type Builder's Risk Insurance will be required during the contract time. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any parts thereof and to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bid or in the bidding process and to make a contract award in the best interest of the Town.
