As of February 2 the project is set to be awarded on Feb 14 Board Meeting . Irvington Basin Reinforced Concrete Pipe Rehabilitation Project The project consists of the following: Rehabilitation of approximately 150 linear feet of existing 18-inch diameter cast iron pipe by CIPP method, which consists of three (3) 50 linear feet siphons. Rehabilitation of approximately 2,030 linear feet of existing 33-inch diameter RCP by CIPP method. Rehabilitation of approximately 2,760 linear feet of existing 36-inch diameter RCP by CIPP method. Rehabilitation of approximately 1,040 linear feet of existing 39-inch diameter RCP by CIPP method. Rehabilitation of approximately 1,050 linear feet of existing 42-inch diameter VCP by CIPP method. Rehabilitation of approximately 540 linear feet of existing 48-inch diameter RCP by CIPP method. Sewage flow control. Installation and maintenance of facilities as required for traffic control. Pavement removal, including saw cutting and cold milling, as required. Excavation and backfilling of excavations. Sheeting, shoring, and bracing support of adjoining ground, where necessary. Handling drainage and groundwater removal. Handling, stockpiling, sampling, and testing of contaminated soil and groundwater. Unloading, loading, hauling, distributing, preparing, installing, curing, and testing the cured-in-place pipe. Lateral Reinstatement Manhole rehabilitation. Surface Restoration. Questions concerning this project should be directed to: Union Sanitary District Attn: Andrew Baile 5072 Benson Road Union City, CA 94587 Phone: 510-477-7633 The successful bidder will have two hundred and ninety (290) calendar days to complete the Project from the Notice to Proceed regardless of whether or not any bid or all alternates are selected by the District. The Engineer's Estimate for this Project is $3,963,000 for the base bid and $5,662,000 total including the and two bid alternates. Each bid must conform and be responsive to the invitation, the Plans and Specifications, and all documents comprising the Contract Documents. Each bid shall be presented under sealed cover and shall be accompanied by a certified check or bidder's bond, made payable to the District, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid. The said check or bidder's bond shall be given as a guarantee that the successful bidder will execute the contract in conformity with the form of agreement contained within the contract documents, and will furnish bonds and insurance policies as specified within ten (10) days after notification of the award of the Contract to the successful bidder. The District reserves the sole right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in a bid. No bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening thereof. At the successful Contractor's option, securities may be substituted for the required retention, in accordance with the provisions of Section 22300 of the State of California Public Contract Code.
