Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Boston, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Intersection signalization, cement concrete sidewalk and pedestrian ramps, granite curbing and paving, drainage, pavement markings, signage, site lighting, and the construction of Oasis Park at the Bartlett Place Development on Bartlett Street in Roxbury, MA. Prospective bidder questions will be due no later than 1/6/22 @ 5:00 P.M. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. All bidders are hereby notified that bid deposits must accompany the filed proposal, must be a minimum of five percent (5%) A Performance Bond and also a Labor and Materials or Payment Bond, each of a surety company qualified to do surety business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, satisfactory to the Owner, and each in the sum of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be required of the successful general bidder. The attention of all bidders is specifically directed to the Boston Resident Jobs Policy of the contract. In accordance with the Boston Resident Jobs Policy, the contractor during the performance of the work shall be required to maintain a ratio in each trade of the project of not less than Fifty percent (50%) Boston Residents in each trade of the project, Twenty-Five percent (25%) Minority and Ten percent (10%) Women workers for this Contract. Final Completion no later than June 20, 2016 assuming that BPLI issues a Notice to Proceed no later than October 24, 2015. The project site is located at the corner of Washington Street and Bartlett Street and is part of the Bartlett Station development. The site consists of vacant land that will be developed into a mixed used building consisting of approximately 11,420 square feet of retail space and 60 mixed income apartments. There will be approximately 58 parking spaces that will service the building. The site is bound by Washington Street to east, Bartlett Street to the north, Bartlett Station Drive to the south and vacant land that is part of the Bartlett Station development to the west. The work includes the signalization of the intersection of Bartlett Station Drive and Washington Street, construction new cement concrete sidewalks and pedestrian ramps, replacing existing sidewalks, and the construction of a new park space within the Bartlett Place Development. The Work generally consists of but is not limited to site excavation and grading, the installation of underground utilities and drainage, sidewalks and curbing, placing hot mix asphalt pavement, construction of a newly signalized intersection, placement of street trees, street lighting, and the construction of various walkways, stairways, benches, and other architectural features within the park space. Estimated construction value is approximately $3.5 million.
