Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Marion, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a stadium; playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; and for the construction of a stadium.

Bids are for a single Prime Contract for a new outdoor stadium complex for Marion Independent School District. The complex will be located east of the existing high school. The site currently includes an open grass field, accessory buildings, and a baseball field that will be removed as part of the project. New work will include home and visitor seating, a new pressbox served by an elevator, an artificial turf competition field, a competition track, and new field event areas. A new building will be constructed that serves multiple purposes, including concession sales, restroom, and storage. New sitework includes new parking, vehicular circulation, pedestrian circulation, fencing, and stormwater management. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis; segregated sub-bids will not be accepted. A public hearing will be conducted at a meeting to be held at the Marion Independent School District Administration Building Board Room, 777 S. 15th Street, Marion, Iowa 52302, at 6:00 p.m., on the 13th day of December, 2022, at which time and place any person may appear and file objections to the proposed plans, specifications, form of contract, and the estimated cost of said project Bidders and Sub-bidders requiring interpretation of the bidding documents or substitution requests are required to make a written request to the Architect by 5:00 p.m. local time seven calendar days prior to the date for receipt of Bids. Clarifications or modifications of the Bid Documents will be addressed via Addendum no later than four calendar days prior to the date for receopt of Bids. 1. The award of the contract may be made by the Marion Independent School District to any responsible bidder or bidders offering suitable supplies, equipment and/or service at the lowest price taking into consideration the quality of materials or service in the best interest of the Owner. The right is reserved to reject any and all bids, or any part thereof, and to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract or contracts as shall be deemed in the best interest of the Owner.
