Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Marion, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The general nature of the work on which bids are requested is: 7645 SY of HMA Milling, 978 TONS of HMA Surface mix, 14.5 STA of Pavement Markings, and miscellaneous related work and appurtenances in accordance with the contract documents. Work shall only be allowed to occur on the following dates: May 2nd-May 26th, July 11th-July 29th, and September 5th- October 28th (Monday Friday only). The contractor shall have 15 working days to complete the work. Liquidated damages in the amount of $300.00 per working day will be assessed for each working day in excess of the specified date and time. 10% bid bond Engineer's Estimate: $148,400.00 For project questions contact: Greg Annis, PE The City does hereby reserve the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract, or contracts, as it shall deem to be in the best interest of the City. By virtue of statutory authority, preference will be given to products and provision grown and coal produced within the State of Iowa, and to Iowa labor, to the extent lawfully required under Iowa statutes.
