As of June 13, 2022, a general contractor was awarded on March 15, 2022 and construction commenced April 25, 2022. The purpose of this Invitation to Bid (ITB) is to solicit competitive, sealed Bids to furnish Ariel Canal Water Quality Improvement for the County of Volusia, Florida. The County of Volusia, Department of Public Works, Road & Bridge Division is seeking a single, responsive and responsible Bidder for the retrofit of an existing stormwater facility that will divert storm and base flow from Ariel Canal into a wet detention pond and provide additional treatment through a biological active media system. Project is located in Oak Hill near the River Breeze Park, 250 H.H. Burch Road, Oak Hill, Florida 32759. The lowest responsive and responsible Bidder shall be responsible for all applicable permitting, labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, services, and incidentals necessary to complete all Work required by the specifications and as shown on the drawings. Term: Total contract time of 180 days. A Pre-bid meeting will not be held for this project. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid bond in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the Bid amount payable to the County of Volusia; as a guarantee that, if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute the Contract, provide certificates of insurance in the amounts and categories required by the County and, if required, record separate performance and payment bonds in amounts and with sureties acceptable to the County, within ten (10) days after the award of the Contract.
