Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Newton, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
This project shall consist of widening of 14th Street in Newton, Kansas including: 568 S.Y. of Asphaltic Concrete Pavement (8), 4,524 S.F. of Sidewalk concrete (4), and 330 L.F. of Storm Sewer Improvements. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the Presidents Executive Order No. 11246 (Equal Employment Opportunity) as amended. Requirements for bidders and contractors under this order are explained in the specifications. JOB NO 217044-001 Bid Security shall be made payable to Owner, in an amount of five (5) percent, Contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount at least equal to the Contract Price. On that date, Contractor shall start performing its obligations under the Contract Documents. No Work shall be done at the Site prior to such date. In accordance with the Agreement, the number of days to achieve Substantial Completion is 35, and the number of days to achieve readiness for final payment is 45.
