Site work and outdoor lighting for a transportation facility in Chandler, Arizona. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and for outdoor lighting for a transportation facility.

As of February 22, 2022, the project has been awarded to Martell Electric, LLC for $277,771.75. Work under this contract includes: The Chandler Municipal Airport's Heliport Lighting Replacement project includes the removal of existing pole mounted light fixtures, associated poles, and ground mounted flood lights. New ground mounted flood lights and taxiway lights will be installed in the same area. Some branch circuit wiring will also be replaced. Additional miscellaneous scope like replacement of helipad perimeter light lenses and circuit tracing is also to be performed. Three Add Alternates are being proposed: 1. Replacement of existing pole mounted light fixtures on southeast edge of the scope of work. 2. Additional perimeter/apron flood & taxiway lighting. 3. Replacement of HAPI (Helicopter Approach Path Indicator) lights. The project will be performed in (3) phases to avoid a complete shut-down of lighting in the heliport area. Work must be completed within 90 consecutive calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. The Engineer's Estimate range is $ 150,000 - $ 250,000. A Contractor who wishes to submit a proposal may download the Bid Documents and any Addenda posted by the City of Chandler at portal. It is the contractor's sole responsibility to obtain any and all addenda from the City website prior to submitting their bid proposal, and to acknowledge receipt and acceptance of the addenda in their bid proposal submittal. No separate notification of addenda will be issued. The City recommends that Contractors regularly check the webpage for updated information. Any interested contractors without internet access may download the complete solicitation and addenda from www.chandleraz.gov/business/vendor-services/capital-projects/construction-bids at any public library. Alternatively, any interested contractors without internet access can schedule an appointment by calling Paula Brown at (480) 782-3308 to view a paper set of bid documents. Bids must be submitted on the Proposal Form provided and be accompanied by the Bid Bond for not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid, payable to the City of Chandler, Arizona, or a certified or cashier's check. PERSONAL OR INDIVIDUAL SURETY BONDS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE. The successful bidder will be required to execute the standard form of contract for construction prior to Council award. The successful bidder must furnish a Payment Bond and Performance Bond in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price. The right is hereby reserved to accept or reject any or all bids or parts thereto, to waive any informalities in any proposal and reject the bids of any persons who have been delinquent or unfaithful to any contract with the City of Chandler. All Bids will remain open for 90 days after the Bid opening day, but the CITY may, in its sole discretion, release any Bid and return the bid security prior to that date. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid during this period without written permission from the CITY. Protest Policy - A protest of a proposed award must be filed WITH THE PURCHASING OFFICE within 5 calendar days of the first posting of the award recommendation. Award recommendations are posted on the Capital Projects web site or the City Clerk web site. If the due date occurs on a weekend or holiday the protest must be filed the next business day. A Protest must include: The name, address and telephone number of the protester; The signature of the protester or its representative; Identification of the project and the solicitation or contract number; A detailed statement of the legal and factual grounds of the protest including copies of relevant documents; and The form of relief requested. CITY will review the protest and issue a written response.
