Description

Renovation of a mixed-use development in Cresco, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Scope of work includes but is not limited to the following: The removal and replacement of the existing ventilation fans, boilers, pumps and associated hydronic piping. New dedicated outside air systems and associated ductwork will be installed on the roof. New boilers, pumps, plate-and-frame heat exchanger and piping will be provided. A new hot water heating loop and pumps will be added to serve the hot water coils for the ventilation systems. A new gas-fired makeup air unit will be provided for the kitchen hood. New direct digital controls (DDC) will be installed throughout the building for the new equipment and will be extended from the existing building automation system. Electrical work consists of disconnection of equipment to be removed, power to new equipment and removal and reinstallation of lights to allow for the new mechanical installation. Removal and re-installation of ceiling mounted electrical items included, but not limited to occupancy sensors, speakers, smoke detectors, wireless access points. Modifications to existing electrical panels and (2) new panels for connections to mechanical equipment. General construction includes the removal, salvaging and reinstalling of existing ceiling tiles and grid. Gypsum board patching and painting. CMU patching and painting. New steel support framing and lintels for mechanical units, related to the installation of the new mechanical systems.
