The project site is located in the Alafia River Basin in east Hillsborough County. It is situated along Turkey Creek Road, two miles south of State Road 60, in Section 36, Township 29S, Range 21E, Dover Quadrangle. in Plant City, Hillsborough County, Florida. Access to the site is via the Southwest Florida Water Management District (DISTRICT) gate on the south end of the dam along Turkey Creek Road. The Edward Medard Dam Discharge and Spillway Rehabilitation scope of work includes Contractor providing all necessary labor, equipment, materials, and incidentals to repair four joints within the existing discharge culvert with waterproof filler and sealant as well as make general concrete repairs within the existing discharge culvert. Contractor will also install a permanent flange and temporary stop plate within the intake tower. Work may only be performed during the dry season (defined as October 1st through May 31st (8 months)), 24 hours a day, 7 days a week subject to local ordinances of Hillsborough County, Florida. All work shall be constructed in accordance with the Reference Documents included with the District RFB.
