**As of March 1, 2022, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Farm Hill Elementary School Roof Replacement 390 Ridge Road Middletown, CT 06457 Work required pursuant to this contract includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to complete the construction of the above referenced project. All questions concerning this bid shall be submitted in writing via email to Christopher Puorro, Purchasing Agent, at puorroc@mpsct.org by Thursday, January 13, 2022 by 5:00 pm to be considered. A bid bond for five percent (5%) of the base bid cost is required and must accompany each proposal. The successful bidder must file a one hundred percent (100%) Performance Bond, a one hundred percent (100%) Labor & Materials Bond and a Certificate of Insurance with the Purchasing Agent within ten (10) days of notice of bid award. In accordance with Connecticut General Statute Sections 4a-100 and 4b-91, a responsible bid must contain two (2) documents: The Contractor Prequalification Certificate and the Update (Bid) Statement. The classification ROOFING is required as a minimum. This contract is subject to state set-aside and contract compliance requirements. The Middletown Board of Education reserves the right to waive any defect in any bid and reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part thereof. Bids, amendments to, or withdrawals of bids received after the time set for the receipt of bids will not be considered. All bids are subject to and must comply with the equal opportunity and non-discriminatory provisions set forth in the Affirmative Action Plan of the Middletown Board of Education. State law requires a minimum of twenty-five (25%) percent of the state-funded portion of the contract be set aside for award to subcontractors holding current certification from the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services (DAS) under the provisions of CT General Statute 4a-60g, as amended. (25% of the work with DAS certified Small and Minority owned businesses and 25% of that work with DAS certified Minority, Women and/or Disabled owned businesses.) The Contractor must demonstrate good faith effort to meet the twenty-five percent (25%) set-aside goals.
