Demolition and site work for a residential development in Hamburg, Illinois. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
The Village of Hamburg, Calhoun County, Illinois, is requesting bids for demolition contractors to demolish six flood damaged residential properties as part of an agreement with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources to acquire flood-prone properties, demolish and clear them, and convert the subject prop-erty to permanent green space and recreational property. The bidder must be qualified pursuant to the bid packet specifi-cations and may not commence work until it has obtained all insur-ance required by the Village of Hamburg and until the insurance has been approved by the Village. Demolition must be completed 60 days after bidder is notified that it can begin work unless a waiv-er is granted by the Village of Hamburg. The Scope of Services provides additional details concerning the demolition services needed by the Village to implement the flood property buyout. The Village of Hamburg reserves the right to modify or waive any or all formalities and technicalities in the specifications associ-ated with the bids, or to reject any or all bids and/or parts thereof, and to accept that bid which it deems most favorable to the Village of Hamburg. Bids submitted may not be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days following the bid opening without the written con-sent of the awarding body.
