Renovation of a residential development in Washington, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
Each bona fide bid shall comply with provisions and requirements of LA R.S.38: 2212(A)(1)(c). No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after receipt of bids, except under the provisions of LA R.S. 38:2214 or without the consent of the Housing Authority. The Work for this project is generally described as the cleaning and pressure washing of all roofs at all sites except the main office of the Housing Authority. The work also includes the installation of central HVAC systems throughout multiple sites including minor rough and finish carpentry, painting, air handler units, ductwork, registers and return air grilles, exterior condenser units with concrete pads, some selective demolition, and other necessary and required work for proper installation as described in the specifications and construction documents. Bids shall be a Stipulated Sum basis as per the original documents. A Pre-Bid conference will be scheduled by addendum. The Owner requires the Architect to issue Substantial Completion of the Work on or before 120 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. Thereafter, liquidated damages will be charged. A Bid Security (a certified check or bank draft made payable to the Housing Authority, U. S. Government Bonds, or satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and acceptable Sureties) in the amount of 5% of the highest possible bid amount is required. Bids are required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 30 days after submittal. Submit bids on the Bid Form provided. Refer to Document 002113 Instructions to Bidders and 00 43 93 Bid Submittal Checklist for additional information. Attention is called to the provisions for equal employment opportunity, and payment of not less than the minimum salaries and wages set forth in the specifications under the Davis-Bacon Act must be paid on this project. The Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause. The successful contractor will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds.
