Renovation of a transportation facility in Bridgeport, West Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
**As of November 29, 2023 , this project has not yet been awarded . A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Renovation of the building HVAC and Fire Alarm systems. The building is Type II Non-combustible construction containing aircraft hangars, administrative offices, and support facilities. The systems to be renovated support approximately 149,000 SF. Renovations consist of: Complete replacement of the existing HVAC system including removal of the existing natural gas fired boilers and pumps, water source heat pumps, make up air water source heat pump handlers, cooling tower, heating/ventilation units, associated piping and controls as well as selective demolition and new ceilings, in areas of the Work. The new system will consist of ducted VRF air handlers, VRF cassette units, a new energy recovery unit is to be installed in the existing mechanical room. New gas radiant heaters will be provided for service bays I, II, III, and IV. A new control system will provide central as well as individual unit control of space temperature and equipment operation. Fire Alarm detection and signaling devices will be upgraded and replaced.
