The proposed construction will consist of: The replacement of the existing Bridge 57 with a three span continuous reinforced concrete slab with spans 30'-0", 40'-0", and 30'-0" with a 28'-0" clear roadway and 15 degree skew and all other work incidental to the construction. Bids received after commencement of the meeting will be returned unopened. Bids received by facsimile machine will not be accepted. Only bids from those Contractors who are registered on the Indiana Department of Transportations current listing of Prequalified Contractors for this type of work included in this project will be considered. Construction shall be in accordance with the bidding documents which are on file with the County Highway Department. All Addendums, clarifications and answers to questions will be posted on the site and all plan holders shall receive an email notification of the new posting. It is mandatory that the Bidder visit the site prior to submitting a Bid and thoroughly familiarize itself with existing site conditions and Work to be performed as indicated in the Bidding Documents, Plans, Specifications, and Addenda. Extra compensation or extension of time will not be allowed for failure to examine the site.
