Renovation of a mixed-use development in Paterson, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

This includes all testing, construction/restoration work, removal and proper disposal of old material, final clean- up and submission of final closeout documentation. It shall be understood that the surrounding buildings and property will be partially occupied and utilized during the period of this construction. No spaces or buildings will be without heat, ventilation, power or other services without the prior approval of ESCO. The buildings are schools and will be occupied with staff and students most days. At times the school is in session, there will be morning drop off and afternoon pick up by buses and cars. Contractor must coordinate deliveries and the construction process around these and other school activities. Contractor is responsible for communicating construction activities on site, daily, with ESCO to schedule construction activities and occupancies around areas under construction. The Contract, if awarded, shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder whose Bid is responsive in all material respects to the Bid requirements. Bids shall be submitted electronically via ESG's Planroom and accompanied by a Bid guarantee in the form of a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond in the amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the Bid, but not in excess of $20,000. A tour of the facilities included in the project will follow pre-bid conference. Bidders will be given instructions for visiting subsequent schools upon conclusion of pre-bid conference. Due to the special nature of the work involved that can only be seen by an in-depth visitation, the attendance of all the bidders is requested and STRONGLY ENCOURAGED as an integral and important element of the bidding process so that all bidders have an equal understanding of the scope of work involved. Bidders and subcontractors named in the Form of Bid Proposal for General Construction and/or General Construction, Alterations and Additions, who perform any work on the Project must be prequalified prior to the submission of Bids, pursuant to the State of New Jersey Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC). Each Bid must be accompanied by proof of Contractor's DPMC classification status. Bidders are required to comply with requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-1 et seq. ("The Law Against Discrimination"), N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.AC. 17:27-1 et seq. All bidders and their subcontractors shall be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor, pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. All Bids must be accompanied by a Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Labor, pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act to the bidder and all subcontractors. Pursuant to P.L. 2004, c.57 Business Registration of Public Contractors, all Bids must include a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue of the bidder and must include that of all subcontractors, i.e., "named subcontractors" whose prices are included in the Contractor's bid. **As of January 13, 2022, Amendment 3 has been issued and Public School#17 is once again included in the scope of this bid.
