The Scope of Work included with this RFQ should provide an outline of the anticipated tasks; however, the District anticipates the final Scope of Work will be developed with the assistance of the selected Consultant. The Pleasant Hill Recreation and Park District (District) is issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to interested firms to conduct public outreach and provide final conceptual design services for integrating a bike park into Rodgers-Smith Park. The goal for the public outreach and design services is to obtain input from a wide array of community members that may be interested in the project, including bike riders, neighbors, park users, parents of young bikers, teens, and the Bay Area Bike Project community group. The final conceptual design should incorporate input from the public using the initial conceptual design developed by the Bay Area Bike Project as a starting point. That process will produce a final conceptual bike park design that includes all the amenities that would be required to support the bike park (landscaping, accessibility/path of travel, benches, shade etc.) and fits into the park without conflicting with the existing uses and amenities.
