Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in Salford Township, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; and water / sewer project.

This project will generally consist of removal of two (2) existing span bridges and installation of a new single span open bottom box culvert (30' opening x 17' wide). Coffer dams and bypass piping will be used during construction. Riprap to be installed on abutments for scout protection. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%)of the bid, made payable to the Salford Township. Award of Contract, if a Contract be awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, but the Owner reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner. The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body project. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, as set forth in the Contract Documents, must be paid to workmen employed on this project. In addition, the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or disability.
