The City of Canton is seeking proposals from qualified equipment manufacturers and or vendors to design, provide and install playground equipment at Heritage Park. The city is looking for play equipment with engaging features and high play value that will encourage physical activity and enhance motor skill development. The selected vendor will be responsible for the design, provision, and installation of playground equipment within the designated budget. In the proposal, include plans of incorporating the natural features of Heritage Park; for example, utilizing the current earth mounds into the playground features to create nature-based play. It is important that the design of each play system include the ability to expand the proposed play system withing the existing play area. All play system elements must demonstrate the highest level of durability in materials and finishes selected in consideration of child health and safety. In the proposal, provide a list of the components proposed for the city of Canton play system. Include structure and component model numbers, materials, color choices and recommendations, protective area requirements, target age ranges and developmental levels, target play type or activity, estimated lifetime of equipment including manufacturer's warranty and any other relevant descriptive information. Budget: $150,000.00 The proposed bid for the project(s) shall be presented in a single, separately sealed and labeled envelope. The proposed bid amount shall be presented in the format provided. The cost proposal shall reflect all necessary construction costs. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond prepared on an accepted form, duly executed by the bidder, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid.
