Major renovation projects of the Metrobus Center. The Metrobus Center is located at 7555, rue Armand-Viau Nord, in the Rivieres borough, in the Armand-Viau industrial park in the Duberger -- Les Saules district. The Metrobus Center will be renovated and expanded in order to accommodate electric buses, increase its capacity and improve certain functional and technical aspects. The Newton Center (formerly the La Maison Simons inc. Distribution center) is located at 700 avenue Newton - 1515 avenue Galilee, in the district of Rivieres, in the Frontenac industrial park in the Duberger -- Les Saules district. It's being transformed into an operating center for electric buses. Its strategic location will allow the RTC to serve the agglomeration of Quebec from several sectors, which will allow it to be more flexible and resilient and accept a part of operations carried on in two other centers during the transition period to the electrification of Lebourgneur and Metrobus Centers. After the redevelopment and electrification of the Newton Center, it is planned to electrify the Metrobus and Lebourgneur centers, which will generate major works in these locations.
