Renovation of an educational facility in Griffin, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Qualified General Contractors interested in bidding on the project shall have been in business for a 10 minimum of ten (10) years, successfully completed a minimum of three (3) similar renovation and 11 preferably performed other types of education/school related construction projects. A list of all similar 12 renovation and modification projects along with all other projects completed or currently under 13 construction under the firm name during the last five (5) years shall be provided at the Pre-Bid 14 Conference to justify qualifications. Such list shall contain as a minimum the architect, owner, project 15 name, building type, project type, building size, total project costs, change order costs, notice- to-proceed 16 date and substantial completion date. Contract, if awarded, will be on a lump sum basis. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 35 days after 2 time has been called on date of opening. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less 3 than 5% of the Base Bid. Both a Performance and a Payment Bond will be required in an amount equal 4 to 100% of the Contract Price. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive 5 technicalities.
