Rehabilitation of Groundwater Extraction and Treatment System Project No. SW02-20 BID NO. TNH277-2021 Bids may be mailed or delivered to the above address, provided the Bid is actually received by the Purchasing Division prior to the time of public opening; or Bids may be delivered to the place of public opening (i.e., the address shown above) immediately prior to the time of public opening. All Bids must be sealed and submitted in the pre-marked envelope provided with the Bid Documents, or must be sealed and submitted in a package (envelope) MARKED IN THE SAME WAY as the premarked envelope provided with the Bid Documents. All BIDDERS MUST complete the required Contractor's Qualifications Statement and must provide a copy of the required Statement of Financial Conditions, even if a Bidder is currently executing work for the Town. The Bids shall be in accordance with the requirements of the Specifications, Contract Plans and terms of the proposed Contract. No bids shall be received unless made in writing on forms furnished, and unless accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond made payable to the Town of North Hempstead for an amount not less than five (5%) percent of the Bid price. BIDDERS ARE HEREBY ADVISED THAT ALL BONDS AND INSURANCE DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED WILL BE VERIFIED FOR AUTHENTICITY BY DIRECT COMMUNICATION WITH THE SURETY/INSURANCE COMPANY. ALL BONDING AND INSURANCE COMPANIES MUST BE LICENSED TO DO BUSINESS IN THE STATE OF NEW YORK. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, and to waive any informalities therein. As described in the Bid Documents, all bidders are required to submit proof of participation in apprentice training programs which have been registered and approved by the New York State Department of Labor for the trades participating in the work to be performed. The last date to ask questions regarding this bid is January 12, 2022 at 4:00pm. All questions must be made in writing and be directed to contracts@northhempsteadny.gov. The Town will not accept Bids from, nor award a Contract to, anyone who cannot prove to the satisfaction of the Town Board that he has sufficient experience in this type of construction and financially able and organized to successfully carry out the work covered by the Plans and Specifications in the required completion time.
