The City of Garden City requires architectural services to cover initial pre-planning and front-end schematic design for purposes of notifying elected officials and completing site plan inspections. The Architect is expected to produce the necessary pre-determined schematic drawings and other displays of the floor plan, estimated itemized construction budget and an estimated itemized operational budget. The culmination of the architect's work will put the City of Garden City in a position in which the City can solicit bids for construction. The City of Garden City is requesting proposals from qualified firms or individuals (Architect) to provide schematic design and design documents for bidding the renovation of the Law Enforcement Center (LEC) located at 304 N. 9th Street, Garden City, Kansas. The LEC remodel will encompass approximately 7,000 square feet of the entire building as further described below. Phone inquiries, facility tours and questions may be directed to E.J. Garden City Police Department will expand investigations and patrol into the basement of the LEC and adjust those current uses to the main level into other Garden City Police Department functions. As part of the evaluation process, the City may ask questions of a clarifying nature from Architects as required. The City may also request an oral presentation to explain the proposal and answer questions. The City reserves the right to cancel this RFP at any time or reject any or all proposal received as a result of this RFP if it is in the best interest of the City.
