Sealed bids are invited for a general contractor for the Renovation to the existing building at the Muhlenberg County Health Department located at 105 Legion Drive, Central City 42330 and the Administration building at 107 Legion Drive, Central City, Kentucky 42330 The scope of work includes replacing the 5 cubicles in the clinic registration area with 3 new areas that have a 2x4 drywall partitions that extend nearly to the ceiling with plenty of insulation for sound barrier while still allowing for adequate air flow at the ceiling. Two cubicles are no longer needed and will be changed to an insulated 2x4 wall that will further ensure privacy. The three registration areas will have a ledge that will accommodate a computer with a 2-drawer heavy duty file cabinet tucked underneath. Staff and patient will be separated by a glass window. Each registration area will have a door from which the patient will enter and exit so that the client's privacy will be assured. Remove the sliding glass window out of the adjoining wall, retrofit with drywall. Removal of carpet and flooring throughout both buildings. Removal of sliding glass and partitions in registration area. Build new walls, insert insulation, install new glass in registration area/new built rooms. Repair drywall once glass window is removed in registration area and throughout both buildings as needed. Installation of new vinyl flooring throughout both buildings. Drywall finishing on new constructed registration rooms. Painting throughout both buildings. BIDDERS: Must be in good standing with the Commonwealth of Kentucky and be qualified to meet all Local, State and Federal statues, codes, regulations, and ordinances governing the performance of the type of work for which Bidder is submitting a Bid. Bidder assumes full responsibility for timely delivery of Bid. The Muhlenberg County Health Department proposes to award the Bid to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder, Bidder is advised that Muhlenberg County Health Department reserves the right to reject any and all Bids submitted, to waive any and all informalities, irregularities and/or technicalities in any Bid or Bid Guaranty, to accept any Bid deemed advantageous to it; and, to negotiate changes, deletions, or additions to the Bid with the successful Bidder. Bids must be submitted on the standard form of Bid Proposal, and the successful BIDDER will be required to execute the Standard Form of Contract Agreement.
