SCOPE OF WORK includes the provision/installation of interior air handling units, exterior condensing units and related ductwork/piping at (2) two basement classrooms. Electrical work is commensurate with the work. Contractor will be responsible for ordering equipment and all materials immediately after contract execution and shop drawing approvals, regardless of the first day available for construction. Contractor will be responsible for storing and insuring equipment and materials until the first day available for construction (approximately June 1, 2022). See Section 01 20 00 for additional information. Bidding Documents, Drawings and Specifications, may be examined by prospective bidders and material suppliers at the offices of Hurst-Rosche, Inc., 1400 East Tremont Street, Hillsboro, Illinois, and the following Plan Rooms: Central Illinois Plan Room, 1620 S. 5th Street, Springfield, Illinois 62703. Drawings and specifications will be available for viewing on the internet at: Hurst-Rosche, Inc. The documents are being provided for reference purposes only. Bidders are encouraged to obtain a signed and sealed hard copy set of the bidding documents. At a minimum, bidders must obtain clean copies of bid forms from the offices of Hurst-Rosche, Inc. by paying a non-refundable amount of $10.00 to submit a bid for this project. The Owner requires all work to be substantially complete by July 29, 2022. Should the Contractor fail to complete the Work within such time, contractor agrees to compensate and will apply to the Owner for each and every day of such delay in completion of the Work beyond the Contract Time the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) per day for Work not completed by the substantial completion date as liquidated damages. Bidders will be required to provide Bid security of a sum no less than 10 percent of the Bid Sum. The bid security shall be either certified check, cashier's check, bank money order or bid bond issued by surety licensed to conduct business in the State of Illinois. Hereinafter this bid security shall be referred to as the bid bond. Submit two copies of your Bid on the Bid Form provided. Bidders may supplement this form as appropriate. Your Bid will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 45 days after submission. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids or any part thereof, to waive any informality in bidding, and to accept bids deemed most favorable to the Owner.
