**As of March 7, 2022 .The owner has selected a Design Builder. The project is expected to start either May or June 2022. Sealed bids for the engineer stamped tower foundation design; furnishing and installation of a new 120 foot or 150 foot self-supporting tower; climbing access; tower cable support ladder; LPS; grounding per Motorola's Standards and Guidelines for Communication Sites (Motorola R56(R) and other items specifically noted within the RFP at the new Sampson County 911 and Emergency Services Facilities project located at Commerce and Fontana Street in Clinton, North Carolina. Each proposal must be accompanied by a cashier's check issued by or a certified check drawn on a bank of trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation payable to Sampson County, North Caroalina in an amount of five percent (5%) of the gross amount of the proposal or by a bond in the above amount executed in accordance with and conditioned as prescribed by G.S. 143-129, State of North Carolina. If the successful bidder fails to give satisfactory surety as required by law, the Owner will retain the above deposit. All contractors are hereby notified that they shall be properly licensed under the state laws governing their trades. The Sampson County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive minor deviations or defects, and to cancel the Bid Process at any time. Sampson County encourages participation by female, minority, and veteran owned businesses in all County contracts pursuant to G.S. 143-128.2, State of North Carolina. The successful General Contractor will be required to provide a Performance Bond and Payment Bond for 100% of Contract Amount.
