Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Clinton, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Completed bid forms shall be submitted via email and should be clearly marked "FY 22-23 City of Clinton Resurfacing Proposals." This package includes separate bid forms for the requested resurfacing as outlined below. Included in this Request for Proposals, are general conditions, bid forms, and project maps. Failure to use the attached bid forms, or revised bid forms provided, will result in an incomplete bid, and will be rejected. Bids not received by the date and time of the bid as noted above, will not be considered. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, to award a single contract or multiple contracts, to add or delete streets, whichever it deems to be in the City's best interest. This project will be bid on a unit price basis per the attached bid forms. Payment will be made for actual quantities installed, in the separate bids contracts. The City of Clinton reserves the right to discontinue services if performance is unsatisfactory, or invite the submission of new proposals on an annual basis if warranted. Questions regarding this project should be directed to: o Chris Medlin, PW Director 910-590-9767, cmedlin@cityofclintonnc.com Scope of Work: The scope of the Street Resurfacing project is to provide a 1.5 -inch compacted thickness asphalt overlay (NCDOT- S9.5B), related milling (including tie in points and curb and gutter), and manhole/ valve box adjustments on the following streets as indicated on the attached bid form and project maps. The City reserves the right to add to or amend this list of streets, based on bid prices and available funds. All work shall be in conformance with the latest edition of the NCDOT Standard Specifications, and Superpave Quality Management System. The following City maintained streets will be paved in FY 22-23 and completed by June 30, 2023 in conformance with Powell Bill expenditure requirements. The list of streets that will be included in the contract will be from the list shown below, and determined after bids are opened, and evaluated. Notice to the City After the contract is awarded, the Contractor shall notify the City one (1) week in advance of mobilization, in order to allow the City to provide notification to residents affected by this work. The contractor's superintendent shall arrange a time to with meet with city staff on site to review the proposed work in the field. After award of the contract, the contractor shall provide an anticipated project schedule acceptable to the City of the work on a street by street basis. This schedule shall include anticipated start and completion dates of each street, including preparatory work and paving operations. Responsibility of Contractor The awarded contractor shall be responsible for all labor, equipment, maintenance of traffic, materials, and safety items needed to complete the attached bid specification, bid forms, and in accordance with the applicable NCDOT specifications. Payment Payment will be made within thirty (30) days after receipt of a final invoice is submitted to and approved by the City. The invoice shall be submitted electronically via email and clearly denote the Project name, Purchase Order number, and be in accordance with the unit prices bid, for the actual. Completion Date: June 30, 2023.
