Response to Questions received will be answered and posted no later than January 28, 2022 he University of South Carolina Beaufort (UofSCB) is seeking a fully licensed contractor to
complete the replacement of the existing HVAC system in the Beaufort College Building located
at 801 Carteret Street, Beaufort, SC 29902.
The proposed system will replace all four (4) independent HVAC units with a consolidated
Variable Refrigerant Heat Recovery System with integral UV lights in the return air for air
cleaning. The controls must integrate with the UofSCB Metasys Energy Management System.
The replacement qualifies for Dominion Utility incentives and the contractor will be responsible
for submitting the Dominion Energy Calculations and Rebate application on behalf od UofSCB
for the project. The successful contractor will be required to:
o Fully licensed by the SC LLR
o Furnish and install new 12 Ton York Variable Speed heat Recovery VRF Condenser with
Changeover Box as required.
o Furnish and install three (3) new indoor air handling units to replace existing air handlers.
o Furnish and install one (1) new ceiling cassette unit for the hallway.
o Furnish and install UV lights in the return air for each HVAC unit.
o Provide new HVAC controls integrated to the current UofSCB Metasys system.
o Furnish and install all new refrigerant piping to AHUs and changeover box
*Occupancy Sensors for each zone included
*CO2 sensor and outside air damper for each AHU for demand control ventilation.
o Factory startup of all HVAC equipment.
o Test and Balance of HVAC system.
o Standard manufacturer warranty.
