The Town of Danville is inviting proposals from qualified consulting firms for the preparation of the Town's Local Roadway Safety Plan to evaluate historical collisions, identify potential roadway hazards and areas of focus, and recommend countermeasures and safety improvements that demonstrates the Town's responsiveness to safety challenges. The Town's Transportation Department is proactively involved in building on the five "E's" approach (Education, Encouragement, Enforcement, Engineering and Evaluation) to deploy proven, cost-effective countermeasures to improve overall pedestrian, bicycle and vehicular safety which should ground the plan's recommendations.
