The Town of Danville is soliciting bids for Street Light Repair. The Town has approximately 700 street lights that are inspected and a list of street lights needing repair is prepared on a monthly basis. This is a unit price bid. The Town may need less than, or more than the estimated number of repairs. Compensation will be based on the unit prices listed in Attachment A of the Street Light Price Proposal. The successful bidder must meet all terms of the Contract Service Agreement upon award of contract. All the street lights are located within the Town of Danville city limits. Some are located within the center median strip of a busy four lane divided roadway. The speed limit on this stretch of roadway is 45 mph, though vehicles often travel faster. The remainder of the street lights are located in the heart of the downtown area and residential areas. Inspections will be done by Town staff and pole numbers and locations will be provided by the Town. Work shall consist of determining the needed repair and replacing only the necessary parts. Repairs must be completed within two weeks of receipt of the Town's work order.
