Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Coralville, Iowa. Completed plans call for the construction of a laboratory facility; and for site work for a laboratory facility.
The University of Iowa (Owner) is currently in the Design Phase of a project titled State Hygienic Laboratory at the University of Iowa Construct New BSL3 with Additional Support Space and following Board of Regents Office, State of Iowa approval to issue the Request for Qualifications, pending approval to advance this project by the Board of Regents at the January 12, 2022 Board Meeting. The Owner intends to retain a Construction Management firm to join the project team during the Design Phase and to continue through the Construction Phase, occupancy, and warranty period of the project. The Owner is requesting submissions from firms who can demonstrate they have resources, experience, and qualifications to provide Construction Management Services for the project. The project budget is $9,300,000. The estimated construction budget is $6,600,000. Preliminary schedule says that It will be out to bid around July 25th with bids due around August 12th
