Flynn Construction is soliciting proposals for the TFC - Repair Various Fire Protection Systems - Package #5. This project will consist of securing and providing an equipment package for smoke control fan replacements in the following buildings: Robert E. Johnson Building (REJ), Price Daniel, Sr. Building (PDB), and Tom C. Clark Building (TCC). Scope of Work: securing and providing an equipment package for smoke control fan replacements; Mechanical and Electrical make-safe, demolition, and removal of existing smoke control fans; update of BAS and Fire Alarm systems; fire sealants; and patching of roofs for fan size changes. Pre-Bid Site Access: Site walks will meet in the courtyard clouded above at the Robert E Johnson Legislative Office (REJ), 146 East 15th Street, Austin, TX 78701. Site walks dates: Tuesday January 11, 2022 (1:30 PM) Tuesday January 18, 2022 (1:30 PM) Thursday January 13, 2022 (8:30 AM) Wednesday January 19, 2022 (8:30 AM) Friday January 14, 2022 (1:30 PM) Retainage: 5% Wage Scale: Davis Bacon (www.dol.gov/whd/govcontracts) Working Times: A majority of work associated with this project to be bid as afterhours / weekends. Same for any craning activities and system shutdowns. Some work scope can occur during normal working hours, but must be detailed and submitted to the building management for review and approval.
