Renovation of a retail development in Columbus, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a retail development.

Rick Harrison Wolfe, the North Market's CEO and executive director, said he'd been hunting for the right bakery to add downtown and he believes he has found it with Littleton's and Clouse. Wolfe has always been a proponent of his markets having a full grocery offering -- meat, seafood, produce, bread -- beyond the diverse menu of prepared foods. He called the new addition "one of the most exciting and important in our history." The bakery and cafe will be led by Clouse and Desi Vasquez, who joined Littleton's from an artisan bakery in Houston. The North Market location will sell a wide variety of baked goods including house-made breads such as baguettes, focaccia, sourdoughs and more as well as pastries including croissants and scones, as well as cookies and other desserts. The space won't just help spread the Littleton's Market name, it'll be outfitted with new baking equipment and will be the production operation for the Upper Arlington store as well. The market said the store's kitchen handles the restaurant and prepared foods. Adding the North Market space will expand the bakery and pastry offering. Wolfe said it's a win-win, giving the North Market a high-profile addition and Littleton's Market the ability to expand capacity. Clouse, in the release, called the new location an exciting canvas to showcase their artisanal baking and creative flavors. Wolfe also noted that Littleton's Market already has a relationship with existing North Market vendors Colo Seafood & Oyster Bar and Black Radish Creamery. Littleton's Maker Bakery will take the space that had been Omega Artisan Bakery. That 20-year tenant closed last fall. Construction on the new space is underway now. ______________ Project includes replacement of existing gutters on east side of North Market Building with larger, temporary gutters to convey all roof rainwater to far north and far south downspouts. Project also includes replacement or filling of masonry openings along the east face of North Market Building, and relocation of existing refrigeration units to roof.
