Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of an educational facility in Livingston, California. Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; for the construction of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; and for paving for a educational facility.

The work of this bid package is described as follows: Construction of the Concessions Building and Ticket Booth at Livingston High School, including demolition, site work, earthwork, concrete, asphalt paving, architectural, structural, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, landscape, and other work as necessary or indicated to construct The Project. All inquiries concerning this bid shall be directed to Shane Trump (strump@ca-dw.com), and Anne Perkins (aperkins@ca-dw.com). To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to have been prequalified by the District. A prequalification application can be obtained by going to the Quality Bidders website. The prequalification application must be in receipt of the District no later than January 12, 2022 by 3:30PM. The District will inform contractors of their prequalification status no later than January 14, 2022 by 10:00AM. Bidders shall be licensed California contractors, and shall comply with the State Labor Code. Prevailing wage rates are required. A 10% bid bond will be required. The successful bidder must possess the specified Contractor's license that is valid and active for each Bid Package listed below at the time of submitting a bid. The Contractor's California State License number shall be clearly stated on the bidder's proposal. Subcontractors shall be licensed pursuant to California law for the trades necessary to perform the Work called for in the Contract Documents. Each bid must strictly conform with and be responsive to the Contract Documents as defined in the General Conditions, exclusions will not be accepted. Qualified Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE) are encouraged to participate in this project. Where applicable, bidders must be the requirements set forth in Public Contract Code section 10115 et seq., Military and Veterans Code section 999 et seq. and California Code of Regulations, Title 2, Section 1896.60 et seq. regarding Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) Programs. Applicable forms are included in this Bid Package for use by bidders. Each Bidder shall complete and submit the Disabled Veteran Business (DVBE) Participation statement with its bid. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding. Each bidder shall submit with his bid, on the form furnished with the Contract Documents, a list of the designated subcontractors on this Project as required by the Subletting and Subcontracting Fair Practices Act, California Public Contract Code Sections 4100 et. Seq. All contractors bidding this project must be registered with D.I.R. Bidders shall enter into a contract ten (10) days after receipt of "Notice of Award". The cost of all bonds shall be included in the bid and paid for by the Contractor. The work required in the bidding documents are subject to liquidated damages as outlined in the General Conditions. Board Meeting: February 9, 2022 Projected Project Award Date: February 10, 2022 TOTAL AREA: 470 SF DSA App # 02-119213; DSA File # 24-H5 The Architect will visit the Site at intervals necessary in the judgment of the Architect or as otherwise agreed by the Owner and the Architect in writing to become generally familiar with the progress and quality of the completed Work and to determine in general if the Work is being performed in a manner indicating that the Work, when completed, will be in accordance with the Contract Documents. Architects agreement shall not be unreasonably withheld. However, the Architect will not be required to make exhaustive or continuous on-Site inspections to check quality or quantity of the Work. On the basis of its on-Site observations, the Architect will keep the Owner informed of the progress of the Work.
